Pete Thornton builds a Dillon Laker SC12

Pete is building his Laker in British Columbia, Canada.

He has a nice start, here with the bulkheads tied together with all those stringers.

"I have been working on this project for about 6 months."

"I ordered the plans a couple of years back but I didn’t have time to get started."

"Added 4 cubic feet floatation foam."

"Installed push/pull steering.... I ran a piece of 1 1/2 in. plastic sump hose in which I ran the steering cable. This will allow for removal of the cable and kept it out of the foam."

"I built the shifter, and also a jack plate as per plans."

"I also made a foot throttle from scrap aluminum. Hope it does the job."

The last of the deck is going on. And a test fit for the seat.

"Finally finished."
