Dillon Racing Build Your Own Raceboat

Construction of the Dillon Pro Vee

The first piece of the bottom tacked into place. Already, the plywood has to be forced into the compound curves of the bow. And I haven't even gotten to the really severe stuff yet.

Another view.

Half of the first layer of the bottom was installed, and then the epoxy allowed to cure. Next, the planking was trimmed along the stem. And now the other half of this layer is screwed and clamped into place.

Bottom panels in place.

Pad and lifting strakes installed.

A coat of epoxy. More to follow, or maybe spar varnish.
